Marianna Fiedor: Marianna received her Bachelor's degree from Central Michigan University and her Master's degree from Oakland University. Having spent 36 years as an arts educator for North Branch Public Schools, Marianna continues to teach art for both the Center for the Arts as well as the Lapeer Art Association. Marianna is a multi-media artist and has participated in ArtPrize for the last four years. Marianna is on the board for Center for the Arts and Vice President of the Lapeer Art Association. She is very interested in supporting and promoting the visual and performing arts.
Caren Huizenga: Caren's love of art began at Rochester High School which then led to enrolling in Central Michigan University's Art Education Department. Her B.A. degree with a major in studio art / art history was achieved at Oakland University. Her teaching years have included grades kindergarten through twelfth grades, most of which have been with the Goodrich School District. After teaching in public schools, she went on to teach at the private school at The Valley School in Flint. Watercolor painting and clay are the mediums of choice. She has been a member of Lapeer Art Association for several years and shows her pieces in Gallery 194 in downtown Lapeer.
Mike Monville: Mike is self-taught in several media; oil, acrylic, watercolor, pen and ink, pottery, clay and metal sculpture, as well as digital art. His love to teach others to draw and paint has led him to teaching drawing classes privately since the 80’s. Currently, Mike is teaching classes in drawing and painting through the Lapeer Art Center and at his Three Waters Studio in Lapeer. Mike has been an active member of the Lapeer Art Association for more than 20 years, serving as president for several terms. “As an artist I attempt to capture that beauty in my work; the part that pleases the eye.”
Jacquie Piechowski: Jacquie lives and maintains Aspen Creek Studio in Lapeer, MI. She received a B.A. degree from UCLA and a M.A. in Art Education from CMU. Retired from teaching arts and humanities from the public schools, she continues to teach college level art history and classes at Gallery 194. She is a member of the Center for the Arts Council for Gallery 194 and is a founding member of the Lapeer Art Association. "Working with a community of artists allows me to continue to encourage the value of arts in today's world."
