CELEBRATING 50 YEARS!
2023 marks LAA's 50th year as a non-profit arts organization. We kicked off the celebration of this accomplishment with the Spring Show/Anniversary Gala on April 28th. The celebration continues ...
- The Alumni Wall, which showcases artwork of past members and current long-standing members, will remain up through the rest of the year. Located in the Upper Gallery inside Gallery 194, the display will change with each LAA exhibit. If you or someone you know has artwork by a past LAA member that you would consider loaning to us for this display, please get in touch!
- We participated in Lapeer Days this year, with a booth and in the parade. Many people stopped by our booth, played the Art Crane game and won a prize, and learned more about the organization and what is involved in becoming a member.
- Several LAA members were creating art in the Pocket Park next to the Pix Theatre during Lapeer's Porchfest on September 23rd. The Art Crane made an appearance, and we shared a fun make-n-take bookmark craft with anyone who wanted to participate.

About the Lapeer Art Association
The Lapeer Art Association is an Artist Cooperative that shows work in themed exhibits year-round at Gallery 194 in downtown Lapeer, Michigan. The "Upper Gallery" of the facility is our exhibit space for most shows. Twice a year we occupy the entire gallery for our annual Spring and Holiday shows, along with guest artists.
The group has members from all walks of life, ages and nationalities who come together to make art, share art, and work in the local community. We welcome new members at all levels in their artistic journey, both professional and amateur. Essentially we are local artists helping keep the arts alive in Michigan. We strive to excel at the fine arts and contribute to the local economy keeping the "small town" vibrant and relevant.
Gallery 194 is open Tuesday through Saturday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Stop in during one of our artist receptions or other events to chat with members and see what we're all about.
Visit our Meet the Artists page for current members, or click on the Join tab to find out how you can be a part of it!
